We strive to improve the quality of life for disabled veterans returning from OEF/OIF by utilizing different recreational therapies. All activities are designed to increase the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social functioning levels of our disabled veterans, and to help them lead a more independent life. Northwestern Wyoming is an ideal location for a recreational therapy program because of our pristine public lands, and unsurpassed variety of outdoor activities.
Once the veterans are in Jackson Hole we cover all costs, lodging, transportation, meals, and activities. The recreational therapy activities offered include, but are not limited to, paddling/kayak touring and instruction, therapeutic horseback riding, fly fishing, fly tying and fly casting instruction, wood carving instruction, and educational National Park tours.
We would like to recognize the Jackson Hole businesses, organizations and guides who donate their time, goods and expertise. The sheer volume we receive in donated goods and services is beyond substantial. We could not function without the generosity and support of Jackson Hole.
Not only is our outdoor recreation industry dedicated to helping wounded veterans heal, but the community at large has adopted our heroes as their own.
Community members open their hearts and homes in order to make sure our veterans know they are valued, respected and cared for.
These activity providers and volunteers are the backbone of our programs. If you would like to volunteer, please download and fill out the form below and return it to us or feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions.
